Product Description

ZK5 Paste Tile Adhesive is one of the advanced building adhesives offering a combination of ease of use, structural benefits, and reliable performance. It is supplied ready‑to‑use, eliminating on‑site mixing, and can be applied directly with a trowel or notched spreader in a thin, uniform layer. Compared to traditional cement mortar methods, it reduces structural weight, saves installation space, improves waterproofing, and shortens installation times. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor surfaces, including floors and walls.

Mechanism of Action

ZK5 Waterproof Paste Tile Adhesive works through a balanced formulation of:

Emulsion resins: Provide strong adhesion between tile and substrate, forming a durable bond that prevents sudden detachment.
Mineral fillers: Control density, improve mechanical strength, and prevent structural degradation over time.
Dispersing and thickening agents: Maintain uniformity of resin and fillers, prevent premature setting, and prolong open time for easier installation.

Average: 2.5 kg per m² of tile surface.
May vary depending on surface condition, porosity, unevenness, and tile back profile.

Application Instructions — ZK5 Waterproof Paste Tile Adhesive

Surface Preparation:

Before using the paste tile adhesive, make sure the surface is completely clean and free from any contamination, dust, or grease.

Cleaning the Surface:

If necessary, clean the surface using high‑pressure water or sandblasting to remove stubborn impurities.

Substrate Preparation:

The preparation method depends on the type of surface to be tiled:

Wallpaper substrate:

Remove wallpaper from the wall, apply a thin layer of primer to prepare the surface.

Using a notched trowel, spread ZK5 Paste Tile Adhesive at a thickness of 3–4 mm on the wall, then immediately fix the tile.
Gypsum substrate:

Coat the gypsum surface with primer, then apply the tile adhesive.
Tile substrate:

Remove any grease from the tile surface, then fully abrade the glaze layer.

Apply primer to the surface, then spread the adhesive and proceed with tiling.
Cement or concrete substrate:

Apply a coat of primer first, then use a notched trowel to spread the adhesive, and install the tile.

Important Notes

After installation, allow the tiles a minimum of 48 hours to reach final bonding strength.
Grouting can be performed after this curing period.
The tiled surface becomes usable 2 days after grouting.
For proper bonding, at least 60% of the tile back should be covered with adhesive.
