Mechanism of Action of NR30 Concrete Superplasticizer
The mechanism of this superplasticizer from ZORLU Chemical is based on polycarboxylate ether (PCE) technology.
When PCE is added to a concrete or cement mortar mix, its molecules form layered coatings around cement particles, completely covering them. This action causes the cement particles in the concrete or mortar mix to become separated from each other.
The side chains of the PCE cause particle repulsion, while the hydrophobic force in the main chain attracts large molecules to the cement particles. This process arranges water molecules away from the cement particles, increasing fluidity in the mix. Over time, the charges in the concrete mix undergo reverse induction, leading to an increase in slump and workability, and initiating cement hydration.

Dosage of NR30 Superplasticizer
The standard consumption of NR30 is 0.4% to 1.1% of the cement weight in the concrete.
This range is determined based on precise site tests, weather conditions, and the materials used.

Method of Use for NR100 Concrete Superplasticizer
The amount of superplasticizer should be calculated according to the cement content of the concrete mix and diluted with twice its volume of the mixing water.
The diluted admixture should be gradually added to the concrete during mixing, proportionally and evenly.
This superplasticizer can be added to ready‑mixed concrete, followed by complete mixing before pouring.
It is recommended to mix for at least one minute per cubic meter of concrete.
The product can also be introduced into the batching plant or truck mixer during concrete production.
Important: Never pour the normal concrete superplasticizer directly onto dry cement. This precaution is essential to ensure optimal performance and maintain the admixture’s effectiveness.
